Description
RA 300 (Rosin Activated) is a rosin-based flux system integrated into flux-cored solder wire, available for both leaded and lead-free alloys. It provides extremely fast wetting action and excellent solder flow, making it suitable for demanding soldering applications. Despite its high activity level, the residues remain non-corrosive and electrically non-conductive, ensuring reliable performance. RA 300 complies with IPC-J-STD-004B standards and is widely used in applications requiring strong solderability and consistent results.
Applications
- Hand soldering and general electronic assembly using rosin-based flux-cored solder wire (e.g., SAC alloys)
- Applications requiring faster wetting and better solder spread than RMA-type fluxes
- Soldering of oxidized or difficult-to-solder metals requiring high flux activity
- Electronics manufacturing, SMT & PCBA assembly, and rework processes
- Applications requiring compliance with IPC-J-STD-004B flux classifications (ROL0 / ROM1 / ROH1)
- Assembly and rework processes where residue removal is optional depending on flux activity
- High-reliability electronic applications requiring strong wetting performance and stable electrical properties
